Geo. Washington's Vision

As I write this Essay, our country is again a target of a destructive socialistic, as well as totalitarian religious mind-set....and is facing the most serious threat to its existence, more serious than any we have faced in the Lifetime of this country. The deadly seriousness of the situation is greatly compounded by the fact that there are still very few in the United States or anywhere in the Free World who understand the full threat of the current world wide terrorism.

I tell you, America and all Free Nations are in danger of losing a war to an enemy who has no compunction about doing whatever it takes to destroy, wherever and whoever it thinks stands in the way of its taking over the world.

Many Americans don't realize we are at war....don't realize that our leaders are dealing with an enemy who is using religious ideology as an excuse for terrorism and conquest. As yet, world wide, there is not the understanding that this is a war against the whole of civilization...and more serious yet, there are few who have stopped to think or realize what losing political and economic control as well as religious freedom to the current terrorists would really mean.

I ask all who read these words to study the issues that are affecting the whole world today. 'People' must take a stand against the current manifestations of 'evil' or be counted on the side of 'evil'. Doing nothing....claiming ignorance.... tell that to 'God'.

Every human being is responsible for calling to the Highest Powers (to God, however one views that Being and Power) for Help.

It is the responsibility of Governments to do what can be done to protect the land and the people, physically....

For make no mistake about it "there is an important battle being fought in America, a battle for the hearts and minds of Americans. The future of this country depends on the victory of the traditional conservative values of the Founders over the liberal socialistic ideas that challenge for supremacy..."

Therefore....as I see it....it is the Spiritual Responsibility of the 'people of every Nation' to invoke Cosmic Illumination, Purity and Christ Power into the lives of nations and people. It is the only way to put out the 'fires of hate'.

It is the only way to make war obsolete.

And today people in Government can't do it alone.

Our Leaders need our help....they need the Help of Higher Minds.

That is the only answer to the current destruction and pain that is unfolding before our very eyes. Study history. Nothing has changed through out countless millenniums. Do we care? Are we ready to do our part to effect a Cosmic Change?

Spiritual Training has always stressed personal responsibility ....it is the responsibility of each individual to Invoke God-Peace and Purity into the Planetary Energy, allowing Pure Energy to flow into and through the Lifestyles of all modern people. This will avoid the destruction currently manifesting.

Today it is up to each of us to work like Peace and Purity depended on us. Therefore we work to clean up our own Energy, for that alone will do so much to raise the vibration of the Planet's Energy. That is the First Step to reclaiming Peace for the Planet. 'Peace' that begins with each one of us! Peace that can only manifest when each one of us takes responsibility for our own thoughts, feelings, and actions....keeping Faith with the Power that directs the affairs of humanity, each one sharing in the responsibility for the protection and security of the Nations.

Perhaps, some of my personal Sense of urgency regarding 'Protection for America' comes from having lived through the period of the Second World War and remembering how close America came to being overcome by two aggressive and godless military powers of that time. There is no doubt in my mind that America had Extraordinary Guidance, Protection and God-Help through that crisis....and will have that Help in this crisis as long as the People remain True to their Source and to the Spiritual Values upon which this Country was founded.

There is the compelling story about a 'Vision' that George Washington experienced regarding the Future of America. It may be just an 'interesting story'...it may be 'prophecy'.

General Washington spoke of this 'Vision' and Experience. It was recorded by two of his closest friends who had fought along side him and were with him in December 1777. The account was then published in the Congressional Record,

Capt. David Perry and Anthony Sherman, who wrote the book 'Reflections of an Old Soldier', were witnesses to this Spiritual Experience.

It is also recorded by Capt. Perry that when General Washington came out of his tent after this Experience, he (G. W.) told him (Perry) that "the eleventh of September was to be a most dreadful and fearful day".

There is no doubt that George Washington had been shown a Powerful Vision of the future of America, which some say included a warning about a September 11th, sometime in the future.

The version of the story re-told here was originally published by Wesley Bradshaw and the copy from which I'm quoting comes from a reprint in the National Tribune....Vol. 4,....December 12, 1880.

Since then this story has been told and retold and printed and reprinted over the years. But perhaps there are those among you who have never heard it or read it. Perhaps it bears re-telling as we go through these days since September 11, 2001 deeply concerned about the security of our Homelands.

"The last time I saw Anthony Sherman was on the fourth of July, 1859 in Independence square. He was ninety-nine years old and becoming feeble. As he gazed upon Independence Hall, he said,

'Let us go into the hall. I want to tell you of an incident of Washington's life. From the opening of the Revolution we experienced all phases of fortune, now good and now ill. The darkest period we had, I think, was when Washington, after several reverses, retreated to Valley Forge, where he resolved to pass the winter of 1777.

'Ah! I have often seen the tears coursing down our dear Commander's care-worn cheeks, as he would be conversing with a confidential officer about the condition of his poor soldiers. You have doubtless heard the story of Washington's going into the thicket to pray. Well, it was not only true, but he used often to pray in secret for aid and comfort from God, the interposition of whose Divine Providence, brought us safely through the darkest days of tribulation.

'One day, I remember it well, the chilly winds whistled through the leafless trees. He remained in his quarters nearly all the afternoon alone. When he came out I noticed that his face was a shade paler than usual and there seemed to be something on his mind of more than ordinary importance. He dispatched an orderly to the quarters of the officer I mention, who was presently in attendance. After a preliminary conversation Washington, gazing upon his companions with that strange look of dignity which he alone could command, said,

'"I do not know whether it is owing to the anxiety of my mind, but this afternoon as I was sitting at this table engaged in preparing a dispatch, something seemed to disturb me. Looking up I beheld standing opposite me a singularly beautiful female. So astonished was I, for I had given orders not to be disturbed that it was some moments before I found language to inquire into the cause of her Presence.

'By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the gaze of the Being before me rendered volition impossible. I assayed once more to address her, but my tongue had become useless. Even thought had become paralyzed. A new influence took possession of me. All I could do was to gaze steadily at my unknown visitor.

'Gradually the surrounding atmosphere seemed as though becoming filled with sensations, and it became luminous. Everything about me seemed to rarify, the mysterious visitor becoming more airy and yet, more distinct to my sight.

'My visitor extended her arm eastwardly. I now beheld a heavy white vapor at some distance rising fold upon fold. This gradually dissipated and I looked upon a strange scene. Before me lay spread out in one vast plain all the countries of the world....Europe, Asia, Africa and America. I saw the Atlantic rolling and tossing between Europe and America, and between Asia and American lay the Pacific.

'At that moment I beheld a dark shadowy being, like an angel, standing or rather floating in mid-air between Europe and America, and dipping water out of the ocean, he sprinkled some upon America with his right hand, while with his left hand he cast some on Europe. Immediately a cloud raised from these countries and joined in mid-ocean. For a while it remained stationary, then moved slowly westward, until it enveloped America in its murky folds. Sharp flashes of lightning gleamed through it at intervals, and I heard the smothered groans and cries of the American people. (revolutionary war)

A second time the angel dipped water from the ocean, and sprinkled it out as before. The dark cloud was then drawn back to the ocean, and sank from view.

'I cast my eyes upon America and beheld villages and towns and cities springing up one after another until the whole land from the Atlantic to the Pacific was dotted with them. Again I heard the voice say,

'At this, the dark shadowy angel turned his face southward, and from Africa I saw an ill-omened specter approach our land, It flitted slowly over every town and city. The inhabitants presently set themselves in battle array against each other. As I continued looking I saw a Bright Angel on whose Brow rested a Crown of Light, on which was traced the word 'Union', bearing the American flag, which He placed between the divided nation, and he said,

Instantly the inhabitants, casting from them their weapons, became friends once more and united around the National Standard. And again I heard the voice saying,

'At this the dark, shadowy angel, again placed a trumpet to his mouth, and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe Asia and Africa. Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene: from each of these countries arose thick, black clouds that were soon joined into one. And throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men who, moving with the cloud, marched by land and sailed by sea to America, which country was enveloped in the volume of cloud. 'And I dimly saw these vast armies devastate the whole country and burn the towns and cities that I beheld springing up. As my ears listened to the shouts and cries of millions in mortal combat, I heard, again the voice saying,

'When the voice had ceased, the shadowy angel placed his trumpet once more and blew a long, fearful blast.

Instantly a 'Light as of a Thousand Suns shone down from above me and broke into fragments the dark cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment, the Angel upon whose head still shone the word 'Union' and Who bore our National Flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the Heavens, attended by Legions of White Spirits (angels).

These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were well-nigh overcome, but who immediately taking courage again, closed up their broken ranks and renewed the battle. Again, amid the noise of the conflict, I heard the voice saying,

'and the Angel, taking water from the ocean, sprinkled it upon America. Instantly the dark cloud rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious.

'Then once more I beheld the villages, and cities spring up where I had seen them before, while the Bright Angel, planting the Standard He had brought in the midst of them cried with a loud voice:

"While the stars remain, and the Heavens send down dew upon the Earth, so long shall the Union last."

And taking from His Brow the Crown on which was blazoned the word, 'Union' He placed It upon the Standard, while the people, kneeling down, said, "Amen".

'The scene instantly began to fade and dissolve and I (Geo. Washington) at last saw nothing but the rising vapor I had at first beheld. I found myself once more gazing upon the mysterious visitor, who, in the same voice I had heard before said,
'"Son of the Republic, what you have seen is thus interpreted:

"Three great perils will come upon the Republic, the most fearful is the third, passing which the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every Child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and Union."

With those words the vision vanished and I felt I had seen a vision wherein had been shown to me the birth, progress and destiny of the United States".

"Such my friends", concluded Anthony Sherman, "were the words I heard from General Washington's own lips,

Therefore this Website focuses on God-Ideas of Freedom and Peace, Liberty and Justice. I hope my thoughts about the Spirituality of America will encourage and nurture those Spiritual Qualities that live within each one of us. We need Spiritual Enlightenment today more than ever now when there is so much human focus on war.

Civilization itself is under attack and we must be smart enough and brave enough to stem the tide of evil thinking and action. First and foremost, we must stand for the Constitutional guaranteed Freedoms upon which this country was founded if we are to continue to live free.

that is placed in the heart of every human being, giving both physical and Spiritual Life to that form. This small Soul Spark contains not only the Power but also the Christ Consciousness which is to be fanned into a Powerful Flame by Body and Soul and is to be 'invoked into action' to serve God on Earth. I believe that the physical Body and Christed Soul were always meant to work together on Earth, preparing the Way for 'those Greater Things to come'.

All modern religions in the world share one thing in common...and that is a Knowledge of the Teaching of the One we know as 'Jesus, the Prince of Peace'.

What is lacking in most 'belief systems' is the comprehension that His Purpose two thousand years ago was to demonstrate the existence and the Power of Christness that exists in each one....the Christ Consciousness that is meant to be the 'guiding force' in every Life.

This Great Lord, Jesus, embodied to Update Instruction about the Greater 'I AM Godness' of each individual. When He spoke of 'The Father', He was referring to the 'I AM Christ Presence' not only of Himself but of every Lifestream.

He came teaching the Truth of the Christ Nature within every human being and how that Christness, if called into action, guides the human being into Pathways of Righteousness....Pathways of 'rightness'. This is a Concept....a Truth, that is oh, so very simple. Why has it been twisted out of shape?

It is time for America to celebrate George Washington anew - and on February 22. I'd like to ask you to take the time to read this marvelous essay by historian Myron Magnet, When George Washington Became Great.
This is an ode to his incredible heroism and generalship. One could argue that he truly became great, however, not because of his military accomplishments that achieved America's independence, but when he could have become King of America and refused.

Washington was worshipped. The throne and crown were his for the asking. He said no. He was freely elected our first president, was re-elected, and could have been president-for-life. He said no.

America owes its existence as a free nation to George Washington. America owes its existence as a constitutional republic, not a monarchy, as the beacon of democratic freedom for the world, to George Washington. There is no greater blessing that Providence bestowed upon America than this man.

Let us celebrate him on February 22 -- and let's do so from now on in his name on this day.

Finally, today there is no excuse for the fear, or arrogance or insanity on this Planet. In today's modern nations we have the Spiritual Tools and modern Political Insight that allow us to exchange fear, arrogance and insanity for Peace, Freedom and Justice for all...doing it through establishing Government based on Freedom and Liberty and Justice and most importantly by acknowledging, using and expanding the Power of the Christ Light within us, which develops the human/Soul Partnership, thereby, allowing the expansion of Christ Light throughout this thirsting Planet.

Today through modern teachers such as Guy and Edna Ballard, we have the resurgence of that original 'Jesus' Teaching. They have been Channels for updated Instruction directly from Ascended and Angelic Teachers,

a time when the Partnership of Human Being and Christed Soul is now working hand in hand with Brothers and Sisters already Ascended, always assisted by the Angelic Hosts.

All this is contributing to building a peaceful world-wide society within which there is Perfect Freedom, Peace and Justice for all, as Godness flourishes once again on this Planet.

the decent people, often ignorant of the Christ-Truth of their Beings, will continue to be political, economic, social and cannon fodder for the impurity currently at work on the Planet. It may be that our personal safety depends on our understanding and implementing Mighty Truths now being taught....it may be that to the degree that each one of us can individually Spiritualize our Energy, will

find a peaceful resolution....freeing us and all mankind from future wars caused by the 'searing wounds of hate and impurity' generated through the ages and still out picturing through certain of mankind today.

respecting the Cosmic Law of Free Will...They must let us play out our hand....let us solve our own problems....let us reap what we have sown. All They can do is to give us 'the Truth of our own Beingness'. It is then up to each of us to call forth the Healing, Forgiving, Transmuting Violet Flame to dissolve and consume all that is not of the Christ Light

While we are awakening to our responsibility, the Lords of Life have to step back, waiting for humanity to recognize their True Natures. They have to allow Karma to take its toll....watch as energy recoils before the ugliness created by man himself.

The Lords of Life wait. They wait to see if the Partnership of God and Christed Mankind can become the Reality...the only Real Answer to permanent Peace and Freedom on Earth.

George Washington, facing what appeared to be insurmountable obstacles in the struggle to secure a place on the Planet where men and women could live 'free' advised, "We should never despair, our Situation before has been unpromising and has changed for the better, so I trust, it will again. If new difficulties arise, we must only put forth new Exertions and proportion our Efforts to the exigency of the times."
