The history of the human race records how smart we can be and how destructive we can be....how cruel....how sublime. 

Why so cruel? How so sublime.... 

Hello everyone. Welcome to the Modern Mystic. I’m here to continue my exploration of Ideas....Ideas  of both the human and the Spiritual us....offering Ideas that may explain the reasons for our cruelty....and for our goodness. 

The challenge of this program is to describe the practical, mystical, logical and unique relationship we human beings have with the Supreme Being. My hope is that as we have a better understanding of both the Mystical elements of our lives, as well as our human psychology, we'll be better prepared to live more compassionate human lives....eliminating our cruel streak and accentuating our sublime Natures.

Our human minds try to know and understand this Powerful Being, God.... But Godness is known by us through the Soul Connection in our hearts....that's where we feel this Powerful Energy....and we feel this Energy as Love. It is this 'Energy of Love' that we need in our lives...we need it to fulfill our human and Soul Purpose. We need it to do our Sacred Work....and today our most Sacred Work is to make Peace our priority and bring an end to all warring on this planet, at every level of our lives....and each one of us can have a part in this by standing up to be counted....joining me, as we pray ......

OH, GOD, LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME.

Today we begin to study the Ideas of an Essay I called

  WE BEGIN TO REALIZE AND PRACTICE OUR SOULNESS. 

I wrote this Essay, again years ago, as a personal enumeration of all the ways in which I had tried, over the years, to increase my sensitivity to the Godness that I felt was at work in my Life, in the Universe all around me. I was identifying the times I had felt the Hand of God at work in my individual life. I was taking stock of what I had done and could do in the future to support and strengthen my Spirituality as I lived a normal human life.

But before we get into those Ideas, again, let's get as quiet as possible....

center in our minds or hearts, as we create a place where we can be undisturbed and quiet. 

I've described for you how  I have imagined  a BUBBLE OF SILENCE.... a Place of Peace

 where I can get away from the overly busy human me, if just for a few moments.

How I surround this Bubble with a Wall of impenetrable Light

....and fill it with the fragrance of flowers....I like roses....

and I envision pulsing Light of many colors, the colors of the Seven

Cosmic Rays, filling it and enfolding me.

 Take a moment now to build or re-enforce the Light around your own

quiet Place....make it a permanent, special place....

one of Light and Peace.

 It will become a Wall of Powerful Light....which you will then

 fill with the Love of your Holy Christ Self....

Now seal yourselves in that Love....and relax.

As we seal ourselves in the Heart Light of God

Seeing Opalescent Light spiraling around ourselves

We open our minds to the Highest Information Channels

And invite Cosmic, Heavenly Light to stream into our Lives....

We accept It and anchor It in our Hearts and Minds.

Desiring that we may become Channels for Light and Illumination

To descend to Earth.

Now forevermore, let us live our Lives in that Consciousness...

within that Lighted Sphere of Cosmic Christ Energy.

Now....beginning to REALIZE AND PRACTICE OUR SOULNESS: 

I'd like to begin this talk with these thoughts.

 Many of us spend a good part of our lives struggling to realize the DEEPER Meaning to the many events that make up our lives. We try to find a workable, practical understanding of many forces, over which we have little or no human control. These are forces and situations that often determine the direction our daily lives take. We try to  fathom the place of God....or Godness, as I like to call it....in our lives....and how that Idea plays out day by day. We are searching for a way to make Spirituality real to us.  

These essays and talks began as the way I used to help me sort out my Ideas of man and God....or as I've come to call it...Body and Soul. I used them to analyze Ideas that were giving Meaning to my Life....eventually describing what I came to call my human/Soul Partnership. After exploring many theories, I could think of no better way to describe how man and God could work together on Earth in order  to do those things which must be done here. 

In these programs I'm sharing my thoughts about the importance of our knowing 'who we really are' in both the personal and much larger Concepts of Supreme Beingness. 

I searched for words to describe this Idea of a human/Soul Partnership to myself....and I search for the words to make it real for those who listen or read these thoughts.  

For these Concepts to be believable we have to realize first and then 'accept' the Reality of our own individual personal Godness....finally seeing ourselves as WHO WE REALLY ARE IN THE BIG SCHEME....and Who We Really Are in the microcosm of human life....and seeing 'God-Power' as the missing ingredient in our human lives....which if found, fills our daily human routines with all the Spiritual Power needed to solve all our problems.  

I believe knowing WHO WE REALLY ARE will put an end to all the unpeacefulness on this Planet.  

That eventually we will realize the importance of this Idea.

 Seeing the simplicity of the Idea and the Practicality of the Idea.  

Once we can 'accept' this Idea of a human/Soul Partnership, and make use of it, the Relationship is strengthened and empowered by that use.

 And, if by some chance we long ago pushed our Soul Partner out of our human lives....we can begin to re-connect and re-activate that Soul level (Christ Level) of Energy in all of our daily activities. Eventually, we'll integrate  the Greater Energy into the human experience....and in this more Heavenly Consciousness, we'll be ready to serve man on Earth and God in Heaven. And we will begin to live perfectly beautiful, satisfying human lives.

Some of you are well along your Spiritual Path....understanding and putting into practice these and other Spiritual Ideas that work for you....but there are others who may not know how to get started implementing Ideas of the human/Soul Partnership. These Ideas take getting used to....especially if the individual has been thinking of him or herself in the normal human way. But there's a tremendous amount of information available to help us make Spirituality happen....it may take some searching, but everyone can find all the Information needed to understand both the human as well as Spiritual Self.  

I've placed the focus of this Series of talks on our individual, unique 'Godness....on our human/soul Partnership....describing the Soul as the 'Spark of Light or Cosmic Energy' within, that 'powers' or 'empowers' the physical body. 

'Soul' is that Life-giving Spark of Pure Godness anchored in our hearts.

 We've all heard the term, Soul, used in one context or another....but rarely defined in a way that help us understand how it is vital to our every day human process....and rarely are we told that it is the small increment of the much larger Spiritual part of ourselves which is our I AM Presence.  

Years ago I became almost desperate trying to understand what the word 'Soul' was describing as it was being used by the various religious authorities to talk about some aspect of Life. I gathered Soulness described some connection between the human and the Supreme Being. But as used by many defining the word, I was never sure what was meant.... whether it was written with a low case 's' or a capital 'S'....And so began my personal search to unlock the 'Secret of Soulness'. And, in the process, as much as possible, to unlock the Secrets of my own Soulness. That search brought me more understanding, as well as what feels like, a more personal Relationship with the God Power of the Universe, I gradually beginning to fathom the Relationship I felt had to exist between the human-us and our little understood Soul.  

I began to see how each one of us is an individual, unique and active 'Spark of Godness' operating within the human journey....operating directly and with full Consciousness within the physical bodies of mankind....and then I realized that the human-us is actually the Home  for that 'Spark of Godness'....and understood the Partnership of the two worlds....the human/Soul Partnership. 

This is a Powerful, little understood Concept, and if realized by enough people, will allow us, as we enter both the new century and new millennium, to stop the fighting and killing....the hate and despair.

I think that if we can understand the True Relationship between our human selves and 'God', through a New Understanding of our unique Soulness, we will be able to enter these new times, with the Spiritual tools needed to take us beyond the limits of current human behavior.   

Which brings us back to change. We all recognize Change as a Fact of Life, personally and historically. The history of the last five thousand years is a boiling cauldron of change. The history of just the last one hundred years defies definition. How about from horse and buggy to spaceships to the moon in fifty years....that’s change! And that only describes the visible, technical changes. But what about changes in the human intellect? What about changes in Spiritual Ideas that many hope will lead us closer to increased Mystical Awareness and Appreciation of Life's Opportunities?

For those who search for Spiritual Meaning in their lives, these are the Leading Questions, as we exit a century in which we have seen the most amazing changes at all levels of our daily lives. We are entering the new century already sensing and feeling, and even experiencing some amazing changes in the invisible, Spirit part of our lives.

The last century  brought us new Spiritual Information and Ideas....asking us to think....inviting us to act. We are entering a time screaming 'change....do something'....one giving us many choices as we seek to change a warring Planet into a peaceful one.  

Throughout recorded history people have struggled to find the Spiritual Direction that would turn them away from serving only the human self to a Partnership of Body and Soul 'God'...to a Spiritual Direction that would turn humanity away from war...and apparently, that Spiritual Direction has been lacking in the current Spiritual Education of the human race. 

For a long time, humanistic religions have taught 'Ideas of God' based on defeating ideas of basic human sinfulness.

My approach is to believe it is more productive to preach 'personal responsibility' first and do it by focusing on 'Godness', rather than on sinfulness....teaching always the importance of peaceful thoughts, feelings, actions and focusing on the good intentions we should display towards our fellow man....while not forgetting to include ourselves.

 Do I hear someone thinking, can it really be that simple?

 Yes, I think it can.  

What we're talking about here is not just a lot of religious or philosophical stuff....it's about how we can all lead lives that are meaningful not only to ourselves but useful to the world at large ....lives that are less stressful....lives that are healthy, productive, nurturing. There are hundreds of organized religions that exist to tell us how to Spiritually do this and why. There are tens of thousands of books and audio and video tapes that exist to tell us how to be successful and happy and well adjusted human beings....how to express all the positive attitudes and still people, in general, aren't happy, healthy nor feel successful.....rarely are they nurturing to others...in general most individuals are constantly struggling with some aspect of their own lives.

So what is missing in all that instruction and information that should be guiding and instructing our lives?  

Well first of all regarding 'original sin'....right out the gate, people are scared and discouraged by that approach....scared people are rarely well-adjusted balanced, successful, healthy or nurturing people. And while there's a certain amount of encouragement in the "how to be better people books", the individual still needs to know more about himself....more than just facts about his physical body or human psychology.

We need to know what beats our hearts....surely something remarkable is going on there that doesn't fall into the human picture. When religious people use the term 'Soul', they fail to stress the 'working connection' between our physical Body and our indwelling 'Spark of God', which is our Soul. Yes, that little Spark, that can grow huge, and is placed within each heart, which gives Life to the physical body....that is here to work on Earth....It does not exist only in some far off Heaven....It exists on Earth also.

WITH ALL THE ' EXPERTS' IN OUR LIVES, IT'S ONLY REASONABLE TO THINK WE SHOULD BE GIVEN AND NEED TO BE GIVEN RELIABLE AND SUFFICIENT INSTRUCTION THAT WILL ALLOW US TO UNDERSTAND OUR HUMANNESS, SIMULTANEOUSLY, EXPRESSING OUR 'SOULNESS' IN ORDER TO LIVE SUCCESSFUL, PRODUCTIVE, COMPASSIONATE LIVES. 

THEN WE NEED TO TAKE THAT KNOWLEDGE OUT INTO THE WORLD AND USE IT TO EXPAND PEACE AND LOVE AMONG MANKIND....WHILE CREATING THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL ASPECTS OF LIFE. 

WE WILL BE SO MUCH HAPPIER WHEN WE CAN DO THIS.

AND WE WILL FEEL SO FULFILLED IF WE KEEP IN MIND THAT

WITHIN US ALL IS THE 'SOUL HEART' BEATING IN COMPASSION 

THE SOUL HAND ALWAYS READY TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH ANOTHER.

THE SOUL PRAYER THAT CAN INSTANTLY HEAL.

 WITHIN US ALL LIVES THE 'SPIRIT OF GOD'

 READY TO DO THE WORK

 OF EARTH AT OUR HUMAN COMMAND. 

THIS 'SPIRIT OF GOD' IS OUR SOUL, THE REAL ENDURING IMMORTAL 'US'.

So, LET'S THINK ABOUT THIS.

What would our modern lives be like if we weren't taught to think about ourselves as primarily products of animal evolution?

Or what would it be like if we were taught from an early age that a 'Spark of God' inhabits and gives Life to our physical bodies....that WHO WE REALLY ARE IS A SPARK OF IMMORTAL GODNESS....that the physical body is a mortal vehicle, the Earth home for the Immortal Soul Spark.

What if we were taught to expand God's Kingdom by using the
Consciousness of that' Spark of Soulness' to direct our everyday lives....

and if, at the outset, we were taught to keep our minds off our human failings?

 Eventually we have to take our minds off the human us and focus it on the Spiritual Aspects of ourselves.... for that is where the Power is....

 'Seek ye first the Kingdom, we are told.

 Why do we think we were given that direction....could it be because THAT IS WHERE OUR POWER IS? And without that Power we are helpless human beings?

So, we need to know where to look for that God-Power...

We have to be taught to look and find It within ourselves.

...AND HAVING FOUND THE SECRET OF OUR POWER AND HAVING USED IT TO LIVE OUR OWN LIVES, WE THEN WE CAN TAKE THE INFORMATION FARTHER OUT, USING IT TO BENEFIT THE NATION AND THE PLANET.

 Each one of us can expand our Awareness of the 'Directing God within'  and use that Soul Awareness to express both our human and Spiritual 'Reason for Being', not just so some day we can 'get to Heaven', but so we can, daily, live wonderful human lives that reflect practical Wisdom, Peace and Love, not only in our personal lives, but also as we project it out onto the world stage. And there is a simple, easy way to expand the Godness within us.

We start by picturing the 'Flame of God' embedded in our hearts....knowing that It contains the Consciousness of our Christ Mind, knowing it comes to us from the 'Flame in the Heart of our I AM Presence'. Knowing It is a Flame that perfectly combines the Qualities of Love, Wisdom and Power.

 We now speak to that Flame....a Three-fold Flame and say,

'FLAME OF GOD, ANCHORED IN MY HEART.

 EXPAND AND LIGHT MY WAY. '

That Flame, in each of our hearts, is an 'Individuated Spark of God' that is the real 'unique us'. And we cannot make that 'Call,' to the 'Flame of God' that is our Life and not have Results.....

as immediately our human energy will be enfolded in that Flame

and we are helped in every way by the Power of that Flame.

 So say often....trying to fully understand what it is being said...knowing God's Power is invoked into our lives this way, 

 Say: "Flame within my human heart, expand and Light my Way on Earth"....

say it many times a day.

"Flame within my Heart, Expand and Light my Way".

And then give the Command to be sealed in the Power and Protection of that Flame forever.   

I hope this kind of Information will help those who are seeking Spiritual Growth...becoming information that helps those seeking access their 'Soul Power', giving them a sense of what to do and where to go for Guidance as we come into the times which may be those Biblical Days of Judgment.  

Many people are concerned and are picturing happenings they think might disturb our normal daily routine. Some are expecting catastrophic planetary changes....some are already experiencing severe situations such as harsh weather patterns, earthquakes, ....then there are the regional wars, uncertain economics and increasingly frightful health issues....there's a lot that can play itself out in lives of people all over the planet.

These describe physical situations but in addition there are the moral and Spiritual choices to be made. And many of these choices will be acted out in the area of relationships....between and among individuals and within groups...among members of families or groups of citizens....between countries. These are all relationships that need this Spiritual Peace we are working for.

 It's time for all of us to lovingly Command the 'God/Soul' within us to expand Peace in our family and in all our relationships. It's time to ask for Peace and Love to fill, not only our minds and hearts, but the minds and hearts of all on the Planet. We are the current custodians of the Planet and will be held individually responsible for establishing Peace on this Planet, worldwide....doing it even as we are fulfilling our personal human/Soul Destiny.

 The Trumpet of Judgment Day rings out the Message that old, barbaric energy of continual conflict....nationally, internationally, within families and among individuals....that grade of energy will no longer be tolerated on this Planet. Hopefully people and institutions will let it go voluntarily, releasing all hateful, killing energy into the Light rather than be swept away with it.

Be aware that all hate will soon be eliminated from this Planet....voluntarily by the individual or arbitrarily by the Powers of God Who have decreed the end of barbarism.  

As our Energy is cleaned up and our negative human creation removed, as we call in the Heavenly Energies, the vibration on Earth will gradually become powerful....it will overwhelm the low vibrations of today's hate.

 It will be like turning on the Light....and seeing that all darkness simply ceases to be.

And we all have the opportunity to be part of the clean up team and we do it by PEACEFULLY TURNING ON THE 'LIGHT OF GOD' WHERE WE ARE.

 There will be those who may have to be taken away kicking and screaming....I hope I'm exaggerating there! But I have a vivid memory of the movie, 'Ghosts' and the bad guys being whisked away "kicking and screaming"....I think there is more than a kernel of Truth and Reality in that scene. 

So as we go through our daily routines let's be Aware that Peace is the Quality of Energy most needed in our lives and the lives of all nations today in as much as it seems we may be close to that 'tipping point' where it won't take much more hate and all the ugliness around the energy of hate, to push us over the edge .

There is a lot to think about here.....

We all have a lot of work to do to survive the continual and seemingly expanding conflict at work on this Planet.

It appears that the job of cleaning up and perhaps saving this Planet is too big for the humanity trapped in these conflicts....that our Answers only come by asking for Cosmic Help.

 So that Realization and the Acceptance of our Soulness may become the Answer as we work our Way through the clean-up of the next few years.

Remember:

Acceptance is the Door through which Spirituality flows to Earth and Spirituality can only activated within a context of human peace.

We all need to know this....and in America, we have some serious choices to make in our immediate lives....for ourselves and for the Life of our Nation....for as America goes, so goes all or most all of the rest of the world. We in this country hold the Key to Peace which revolves around stable economic and political situations on the Planet

At best, at this moment, we have a precarious hold on 'stability....and much depends on what we choose for ourselves as the 'American Way of Life'.... for the Higher Powers created America to be an Example of Freedom for the rest of the world. And They are watching to see if mankind chooses to destroy Their Handiwork in America. Will people, world wide keep on fighting, lying, cheating, hating and killing....or will some of mankind become Peaceful Ambassadors of Light? World wide we have some important choices to make.

 And Peace does start with each one of us wherever we are. It doesn't begin with our governments, nor the Pope nor any other authority. It all begins with us. We have to want it....to command it for ourselves and others.

When we talk about Love, or Freedom or Peace it often sounds

theoretical. But can we not see that it is so practical. Peace in our lives

 is the opposite of all the variations on the themes of hatred and

 conflict we have all experienced to some degree in our lives. Surely we

 know that the 'Energy of Peace', flooding in around us, protects us.

That It frees our Energy from being used to further more human

 conflict. Peace turns on the 'Light of God' in our lives and in any Nation

 and automatically eliminates the darkness.....and it's all accomplished

without any struggle. No guns. No blood.

Mankind has always had the choice of choosing Light over darkness.

And doing it, minute by minute, in every thought, feeling,

spoken word and action. We have the choice to choose this personal

 discipline if we are ever to move within the Grand Plan of Higher Life.

It has always been our choice....and it is this 'Free Will' situation that

 makes this problem of choosing so knotty.

 The human process is usually self gratification first....that's

 usually the direction we take, until we find there may be a reason to

 put 'God first'. Sad to say the human-us will generally respond to

 Spiritual Ideas if we think that is the only way to survive.

 Think about how we 'pray unceasingly' when we 'need God'....

otherwise, our praying may be sporadic as we rarely think that God may

 need us. Hopefully we soon see the importance of integrating the two

Levels of Minds, body and Soul.

The Soul Mind will seek all levels of Higher Godness for God's

Sake....and will Consciously work with the human partner and all

Higher Levels of Life to serve God on Earth.

 Jesus spoke to us about the need for Peace when He told us to

'Love one another....and 'be peaceful with one another'.

He understood the easily aggravated human nature and knew

that until our human energy becomes peaceful and calm, and we

begin to practice our Soulness...practice our 'God Natures', it will

be difficult for us to understand, appreciate and help one another.

 He came two thousand years ago to help stop the warring among

people and among the Nations. Some small progress has been made,

 Now the rest is up to us.

Let me end this Essay with these thoughts:

There are practical Ideas we can use in practicing our Soulness.

We can start with visualizing the 'Flame in our hearts'.

We can send our love to our Christ Self....to our God Presence

and then out into the Universe and sending Love to all Godness everywhere.

We don't have to understand the mechanics of what happens when we

 send our Love. We just have to accept the Idea that our Love draws

 back into the physical world the Powerful Heavenly Energies that will

clean up....that is, Purify, the Energy of the planet.

This is done by 'raising the 'Vibration of the Energy' here. 

 Peace in the world depends on Purity.

 It is everyone's responsibility to work for Purity.

And we won't have Peace on this Earth unless we do.

The Love we send out draws back into our affairs the Cosmic Love that

 creates Perfection and brings into this physical world the things we are

going to need in our everyday activities.  

We can reach into those Heavens and ask for those 'Powers of Light'

that will go into physical conditions and remove all that keeps

Peace from being the predominant Energy of this Planet.

 Our Love to all Life can mean permanent Peace to the Earth.

We can each become a Peace commanding Presence wherever we are

Until we decide to be a 'Peace commanding Presence' to all Life,

the Powerful Energy of our Christed Self has to waits within and

above us, like the 'butterfly in its chrysalis', and our human life

continues on in an unending struggle.   

 We, the Mind of God in Action, are to command all that Energy, all

 that Light to go into before us, commanding It to clear our Way

 and control all that is less than the Light....

and we are programmed to do that.  

Today the hardest part of the Spiritual Equation is to find the Way to

open a door in our brainwashed human mind....

find a way to get that mind to accept 'God' Direction and Control

 and all that implies.

 To the human mind it often implies giving up control.

But if we can get over that hurdle, it is as simple as inviting 

 Spiritual Information into our lives and then using It.
