And we ask, why so cruel? And how so sublime?
Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Modern Mystic.
I’m here again to continue our exploration of the human/Soul Journey. You’ve heard me say many times I believe this Earth Experience is really the Journey of the Soul, and I'm here to offer Ideas for ways to make it a more meaningful Journey for both Body and Soul.
“Ask and it shall be given unto you: Seek and ye shall find”.
Thus we are assured that OUR HUMAN/SOUL UNDERSTANDING AND EMPOWERMENT IS GUARANTEED, DAY BY DAY AS WE SEEK IT ...AND FIND IT....AND USE IT....
THERE IS MYSTICAL TEACHING THAT TELLS US “EACH DAY WE ARE GIVEN OUR DAILY BREAD”. IF WE BELIEVE THAT AND ACT UPON THAT BELIEF, WE ARE PROVIDED WITH ALL THE COSMIC DIRECTION AND SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING WE NEED TO LIVE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT. AS WE STAY GROUNDED AND FOCUSED IN THE PRESENT MOMENT, BOTH PRESENT AND FUTURE TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES...EACH DAY PRESENTING US WITH SITUATIONS TO BE DEALT WITH IN THAT MOMENT. TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.
Thus in the present moment, if we are Spiritually FOCUSED, if we are living peacefully, we are one of those helping to lay the groundwork for Peace and Freedom for every man, woman and child on this planet. Let’s again take this moment to say....
LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME.
I began writing these programs three years ago out of concern for the economy and concern about world wide confrontations that seemed to me to be escalating, especially in the area of religious conflicts.
I believed then and I believe now that the only answer to the overwhelming seriousness that is growing around both these issues can only be resolved peacefully or well, if the people of the world, suddenly and quickly change their way of thinking and acting.
I have wondered if that was possible....if so, how it could happen?
I began this series of programs discussing the ways we can change ourselves. How we can change or improve our thinking, feeling and acting....
how that will change our worlds, personal and beyond.
September 11, 2001 has shown us that we can change quickly, in many areas of personal behavior. We've seen a greater focus on Spirituality and Patriotism in the aftermath of the World Trade Center destruction. People’s attitudes did change quickly. And those who have lived through this event, will never forget and their attitudes will never be quite the same as they were prior to that event.
The two areas of my concern....the economy and religious confrontations...both were touted as the excuse for the unconscionable, terrorist attack on America....and both have been acerbated by that event.
But something positive may yet come from this, as the world sees ancient, festering, destructively qualified energy still at work on the Planet. Now the whole world has the opportunity....actually, has the necessity to examine human relationships world wide....all of them, political, economical, religious, race and gender based personal attitudes....all of which are being exposed to the Light of day....giving people the opportunity to examine their feelings and decide what can be done to improve relationships, individually and as Nations
What one of us does affects the many of us.
Today we can all legitimately take time to wake up to some new realities....an Awakening that hopefully includes an increased realization of the Spirituality of all Life. For that is the Ultimate Answer and the immediate remedy for most of the conflict in our lives.
Everything I say....everything I write comes from my constant search for Understanding that illustrates how both the human and Spiritual aspects of our lives can (and should) work together to resolve the conflicts in our lives. I cannot rationalize any purpose for either our humanness or our 'Soulness' to be stand alone activities....
Body and Soul, they need each other....
Body and Soul, they go together....
and the question has always been, what is it that bonds them one to the other.
How grateful I was to be given the understanding of the human/Soul Relationship....
to be shown that it is actually a reciprocating Partnership.
How grateful I am to understand how the human being needs the Cosmic Energy that flows through the Soul Connection....
and how the Soul Consciousness needs a physical body to work on Earth....
how together they engage in activities of everyday Life as well as participating in the bigger Evolution of this Planet. It is incredible to me to rationalize how 'big' our lives are.... so much bigger than what we see from just the small human perspective.
If we don’t know WHO WE REALLY ARE, Body and Soul,
if the human doesn’t know about the God Power right at its finger tips....
if the Soul can’t wake up or activate the human vehicle, not much gets done....either at the human level....or at a Cosmic level.
So today when the greatest need of the whole world is Peace.....
Peace at every level of Life,
we humanly must awake to our individual Soulness/Christness/Godness/Spirituality....
and within that context find the Answers to the problems we and society in general, face.
In the present moment, the need for Peaceful Energy on this Planet is the top priority of both God and man...for non-peace is about to tip the scale...perhaps, has tipped the scale....and then who can guess what kind of problems we may face.
Human efforts alone will not solve the problems of non-peace on this Planet....we need the Spiritual Understanding that can only come through the Mind of our Souls.
In each program I have suggested both Spiritual and human ways to lead us to more understanding and more peaceful ways of leading our lives.
FOR I BELIEVE THE ONLY WAY TO STOP NON-PEACE IN ITS TRACKS, IS FOR EACH ONE OF US TO ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY TO BECOME MORE PEACEFUL! THERE JUST IS NO OTHER WAY! WE CANNOT GO ON BEING WARLIKE, IN ANY WAY, IN OUR EVERYDAY PERSONAL INTERACTION WITH EACH OTHER AND EXPECT THIS TO BE A PEACEFUL PLANET.
WE HAVE TO AWAKEN TO OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT GOES ON IN OUR LITTLE BIT OF THE UNIVERSE....BEING ON GUARD MINUTE BY MINUTE.
AND IF WE ARE TO SUCCEED IN BECOMING PEACEFUL AND CARING IN ALL OUR ACTIONS, WE HAVE MUCH TO LEARN AND UNLEARN ....TO DO AND NOT DO. IF WE SUCCEED WE WILL RESTORE BALANCE IN THE ENERGY OF THE PLANET .
The study of history....of economics, of religion and philosophy....as well as taking an active part in life....all that we do in our daily pursuit of knowledge helps us find out WHO WE REALLY ARE AND WHAT OUR PURPOSE REALLY IS.
Knowing this is basic to all else....for if we KNOW WHO WE ARE,
it means we have found the Kingdom.... without and within....
it means we are obeying the First Commandment....making the necessary human effort. From there on, all things are possible.
So we ask for Peace on Earth. And we know/believe/accept the Idea that it has to begin with each Unit of Life....with each one of us.
So each week, we’ve taken a minute here to practice Peace.
And we begin by quieting our Energy...by slowing the work of our hands and minds for a few moments....
and then by focusing on building a Wall of Powerful, Peaceful, Loving Light around ourselves.....
creating what I’ve called a Quiet Place
....a place we can get away from problems....
a place we can fill with and be filled with Christ Love.
We can add the fragrance of our favorite flowers,
and turn on our favorite music to provide a soothing sound.
When the weather is nice I often meditate by a koi pond, listening to the sound of water, watching the antics of fish who have no worries.
This shuts out the world for me....for a those few minutes I can be alone and quiet....where I can allow my human mind and heart to rest from anything troubling....from anything stressful....a place where I recharge my human battery....I allow myself to rest, if but for the briefest time. Rest is so important.
So AGAIN TODAY, we give ourselves this moment, and we begin by visualizing the Christ Light flowing in from above....expanding in and around us. The Christ Energy is all Peace....It’s always with us...always protecting and nurturing us....always Blessing us and all it touches.
Now in this quiet Place of Love and Peace,
we enfold ourselves in the Heart Light of God, the Mighty I AM
Seeing opalescent Christ Light spiraling in and around ourselves
We open our minds to the Highest Information Channels
And invite the 'Light of God' to stream forth into our Hearts and Minds
And into the Hearts and Minds of every man, woman, and child on Earth
That each of us may become a Channel
for Light and Illumination to descend to Earth.
We have Blessed all Life.
In all that we do we have to be aware that our Life is both
human and Spiritual...
that WHO WE ARE IS LIFE EXPRESSING ITSELF....
ON EARTH WE EXPRESS OURSELVES WITHIN THE PARTNERSHIP OF BODY AND SOUL.
As we Awaken, we become aware that All Life is always unfolding....
and that it unfolds outward like the opening of a flower.
We become aware that there’s no such thing as the “end of anything....we often hear people talk of end of the world”....there is no end....there are only changes.....constant changes.... everything is changing....we are changing, Body and Soul, the Planet and the whole Universe is in a constant state of flux....everything is evolving, growing and expanding outward.
I’m fascinated with the possibilities that exist within our human/Soul Relationship, especially as it brings us into contact with our Highest Spiritual Center, which is the I AM Presence....for that is our Heavenly Power Center.
Like the rest of Life, that Spark of God, our I AM Presence, continues to expand outward, forever and ever....and we experience some of that expansion here, to the degree that the Body and Soul can handle a greater volume of Energy.
We are part of the Life and the Light of the Universe....
and OUR Light goes on expanding forever and ever.
Life, as it expands, often destroys the old forms even while it creates new forms to be the channels or chalices for the new greater volume of high frequency Energy always surging outward. This is how new God-designs or plans manifest, as in this case, on Earth. Thus, does Life or God or Supreme Beingness expand Itself.....and it never stops expanding.
And thus, the study of history shows us the constant destruction of the old and the bringing in of the New Designs.
What we are seeing on Earth today is the destroying of old patterns so that a New Idea can manifest here.
The Piscean Energy is on Its way out, taking with It all the warring and dissensions of an old pattern through which mankind chose to evolve.
The new Age of Aquarius is on the way in....the Energy of Aquarius is very different.
For one thing, this new Energy does not support war or hatred. So the warring we see still going on all over the Planet is the last 'thrashing about' of that old Piscean energy. And those who are still using it, know they are running out of time....and so we see in certain countries, the last of the warring renegades making their last trouble for Earth.
The Keynote of the Aquarian Cycle is Freedom....
and only with Freedom comes the Peace we are calling for.
The period of time we are now experiencing is one of cleansing and purification....this will usher in an age of Brotherhood....and Cooperation. In many places on Earth, there still is no Freedom. All people who love Peace and Freedom are being asked to help. The greatest Power, Body or Soul, is generated through the conscious, combined action of the human/Soul Partnership...
for there, man and God are in action together.
There Heaven is lowered to Earth...this is the way we build a Bridge between Heaven and Earth....man and God working together....bridges that many may travel across.
We can think of our love of Life, our love of Peace and Freedom, as the building blocks for the Bridges we will build. There is no limit to the Bridges we can build to those around us....Bridges that extend our Love and Peace to our neighbors, to our families, to our communities....
Bridges to the whole world.
And we have the Tools with which to do it. The Conscious Part of Life that we know as 'our Soul selves' is always served by the Greater Light, even as the human/Soul Partnership serves the smaller or lesser Increments of Light.
Wherever we are, we are always given the Spiritual Understanding and Tools to miraculously open up like the flowers, to whatever we need to know as we work to fulfill our Soul duties, as well as the constructive desires of our human-selves.
In the work and advancement we make on Earth we cannot separate the human needs from the Soul needs, or the Soul needs from the human needs. They are intertwined and inseparable within the Earth Journey. If there seems to be gaps or glitches in our lives, human or Spiritual, we need to make sure the human/ Soul Partnership is fully activated....make sure we are connected to all Channels of Energy above and within us....we make sure we are fully connected to our Holy Christ Self and I AM Presence.
And right on through all Levels of Greater Godness beyond. It is vital to stay consciously aware of our Connection to all Godness as it exists in our Universe.
As the quality of the Energy of the incoming Cycles changes, much is evolving before our very eyes. Our Spiritual Consciousness is growing whether we know it or not....whether we want to or not....and we must accept and integrate this Higher Consciousness or be destroyed as we now exist.
And whether we know it or not, we each have the Power to begin to change in all the ways we need to change. Believing this turns our Spiritual Switch to Go allowing us to begin to learn to approach Life with more Spiritual Attitude and then Understanding ...which includes knowing what we should do and what we shouldn’t do as we work to accommodate ourselves to a changing world.
The other side of the coin is learning there are situations we cannot change.
All of us will experience situations we cannot change....
our job is to is remain focused on Peace, and encourage Loving and Perfect Solutions for situations we may encounter along the way.
As the human-us Awakens, it can foolishly walk in where angels fear to tread. Thus it is important to know when to stand back and listen....
staying focused on the Belief that the Soul-us has full God-discernment about all things. We are learning to hesitate a moment before we rush in with advice or help...
learning to listen for Soul Direction, and hopefully, we will never be guilty of indiscretions of any kind.....remembering to Respect each Soul and its Path.
Another 'learning aspect' for the human-us is to know when to stop struggling.
The Soul knows all situations to be faced from the inside out....all we can humanly see is the outside appearances....and appearances can be deceiving as we have all had occasion to find out.
But when the human and Soul Minds are cooperating in problem solving, we just automatically know when to stop struggling....
when to stop trying to make things happen.
If the Partnership stays centered and focused within the Soul’s Wisdom and Understanding we will always know what the perfect action of the moment is....
and I guarantee that we will be able to look back, years hence, and see that our greatest moments did not come out of forcing a situation to bend to our human will....
although, our human effort and commitment is part of the equation.
But, I have found in situations I’ve struggled with, that the final working out nearly always had some aspect of Spiritual Magic in it. So much so, that nothing can dissuade me against the Idea that Spiritual Magic happens when we are properly focused, Body and Soul....for then we just naturally seem to be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.
And all turns out well.
In our efforts to Understand ourselves and to help our fellow man, it is important to remember that we live in a time when all Life is hurting to some degree....think about it.
We wonder why people react as they do....do all the things they do. Many of the Souls here today, have embodied carrying deep, Inner Issues to be resolved or at least, worked on at this time.
So as we work to solve our own problems, it’s good to remember that we live in a time when Life here on Earth is working out many problems, at many different levels. Our job is to take care of ourselves, and work to serve the Greater Godness for the sake of all Life Evolving here.
And we need as complete a Spiritual Understanding as possible if we are to solve our problems....if we are to wisely serve our fellow man and woman.
In this getting of Understanding we can start with asking ourselves what we do with our Energy on a daily basis.
We have been learning to watch all our actions, thoughts and feelings to make sure all we do contributes to the building of a Peaceful World.....even while that discipline is contributing to our own growth.
We are now committed to eliminating all the negatives in our lives....all those senseless actions and thoughts and feelings....
those carelessly spoken words.
And each day in our Meditations, we are expanding our Christ Light, not only for our own sake, but for the preservation of each Nation but also for those citizens who need to be Awakened to their Responsibility to protect the Peace and Freedom they now have as well as making humanity everywhere of the Freedom God has established in America.
As our Soul Light and Understanding expands in our daily routines, we touch the sensibilities of those who haven’t thought of Peace or Freedom. There are many in places like America, who take it for granted and who have never even wondered what Life is like under the 'rule of tyranny' such as we read of in other countries.
All Spiritual Teaching tells us we cannot live unto ourselves....we cannot walk the human/Soul Path selfishly.....that all we do, needs to serve a better Purpose than just satisfying our human desires.
So if we ask for it....and remember we’ve been told, “ask and ye shall receive”...if we ask, our I AM God Presence will anchor in us the Message of Peace and Freedom. And that Message comes as Cosmic Energy anchored in each of our Seven Chakra Centers. And that Energy will flow from us at those Seven Levels of Being to touch the hearts and minds of people we come in contact with on daily rounds.
Remember: Wherever there is lack of Peace, lack of Freedom,
where there is tyranny of any kind,
there the flow of Christ Energy is blocked....
the flow is blocked in individuals....in groups of people.
It may be blocked in a whole nation....or perhaps the Planet.
There exists among humanity those who refuse to love .... who refuse all Understanding of their Christed Natures and Soul responsibilities....there are those who have, by their own actions, turned off, blocked the flow of Christ Energy into their lives....and thus denied themselves and their fellowmen and Country that amount of Light.
And it is in this lack of Light that the 'consciousness of hatred' grows... 'lack of Light' grows the human consciousness that produces war....and tyranny.
Thus, as we gain Spiritual Insight and Understanding about WHO WE ARE AND WHY WE ARE HERE, we quickly see the importance of both Peace and Freedom.
As I was watching TV pictures of Afghans refugees, huddled together on a hillside....no homes, minimal food, struggling just to exist....I wondered if they had ever experienced even a bit of the Freedom we take for granted in this country and many other countries. Few people in any country on Earth really understand the importance of or the Spiritual meaning of Freedom.
True Freedom brings with It the unlimited use of God’s Energy that always flows freely....
the sky is the limit for the constructive creativity of both human and Soul....
we can create to our heart’s desire.
How long since the people I saw on TV in Afghanistan were last free....perhaps they have never been free to create according to their heart’s desires. For a long time now they have lacked the Light of Peace in their country....and lacking that Light perhaps have never experimented with Freedom....don’t know what it’s like to experience 'free will'...to be able to choose....to write a sonnet or bake an apple pie.
There must be reasons for the warring among the various tribes of Afghans and for that matter among the various peoples of the rest of the Planet. But what is the mind-set that accepts war when it means losing personal freedom?
Do men and women lose Freedom when they fail to remember WHO THEY REALLY ARE. Do they have automatically lose the opportunity to pursue their human/Soul Path to Greater Spiritual Freedom?
Freedom must be the Goal of all Life....for without Freedom, we are in danger of becoming slaves to dangerous unseen forces....forces that feed on hate and dissension such as is presently at work in the Afghan affair as well as in much of the Middle East.
. All my study....all my Intuition brings me to the Certainty that the God-Powers that guide mankind will not help people who will not struggle against hate....
who will not work for freedom.
In previous programs I talked about the Activity of the Seven Rays and how we can strive to learn and grow along certain lines of Energy. Using the Energy of each Ray culminates in the Seventh Ray Activity of Freedom.
The Spiritual Imperative of Freedom can be summed up as follows:
If all our human and Soul desires, our wisdom coming from our love of education and for scientific research ....our purity and devotion in religion....
if all of this constructive effort does not culminate in Freedom for people, in religion and in governments....in social and economic life world wide,
then all our human efforts here have lost their Cosmic Purpose.
As we pray for Peace....we remember that Freedom is even more precious than Peace....for Peace without Freedom is false peace.
In all my studying I never found any reasons to believe it was possible to separate the needs of the human from the needs of the Soul within....
both need Information.....
both need Instruction and both need Peace in which to pursue the human/ Spiritual Evolution of Life everywhere.
As I studied history of the last five thousand years, I saw clearly that mankind has made very little Spiritual Progress due to lack of Peace but even more to lack of Freedom.
For thousands of years many of mankind have not been free to peacefully pursue personal human/Soul agendas.
For thousands of years many of mankind have had to deal with non-Spiritual forces that have inflamed one group to wage war unmercifully against another group....always at the expense of the ordinary individual.
Nothing much has changed in that regard.
However, today, in many places on the Earth, the ordinary individual is being given the Information and Understanding that allows us to protect ourselves....thus, in every program there is a Meditation specifically designed to call Christ Protection and Illumination around ourselves....and take that out as far out as we wish to take it....knowing that as we do so, all is amplified by the Christed Jesus and other Great Guiding Souls.
Regarding Those Great Ones Who Guide the Progress of this Planet:
They have said that America has been the Great Experiment to see if Freedom was possible on this planet.
Although it can seem dangerously close to slipping away from us, still, in America it has been shown to the people of the whole world, that Freedom is an Idea whose day has come.
But in the process, it is also the day when mankind all over the world, must be willing to defend Freedom....
must be willing to defend America....
for from America, Constitutional Freedom expands outward.
The Christ Flame of Liberty has been lit in America. It still burns. It is still possible for a Christed Flame of Liberty to be lit in every country, if the people of the country want It and will ask for It. Then groups of people who band together as a Sovereign Country can live under the same Freedoms as envisioned by those who were willing to fight and die for Freedom in the United States of America.
Many modern people do not yet know that Freedom comes with a price. And all recipients of Freedom on this Planet must be willing to help people all over the world to have the same measure of Freedom.
Again I say that without Freedom the Soul cannot progress....and Spiritual Progress is the Purpose of the human/Soul Journey.
It is the flowering of Godness on this Planet.
Freedom for the Soul comes from putting aside the negative human consciousness that is still at work within most individuals.
Accordingly we work for balance in our actions, thoughts, feelings and spoken word....
we meditate on balancing the human and Soul energy....
we focus on letting the Christ energy flow....
and on KNOWING WHO WE ARE.
I BELIEVE THAT WHEN MAN AND GOD ARE COOPERATING,
WE WILL HAVE PEACE ON THIS EARTH.
PEACE DEMONSTRATES OUR CHOICE
TO BUILD A NEW WORLD IN A NEW WAY.
