Why so cruel? How so sublime?

Hello everyone, Welcome to the Modern Mystic. I'm here to continue exploration of Ideas that seek to define our Reality within the context of Believing that What or Who we call 'God' is 'Infinite Life' and we each one, are a 'Spark of that Infinite Life'....and that Life as it exists within each human form, I call 'Soul'. 

A listener once asked me if I was saying that each one of us is God....and I told him that I believed that the Soul Aspect of each one of us is a 'Spark of God'. He wondered why I was, as he described it, "getting caught up in discussing such a subject."

 I said my intention was not to argue or try to persuade...or change any minds....but to offer Ideas that might make it easier for all of us to live together. Because most of the wars of the centuries, much of today's hatreds stem from different points of view on the 'Nature of God'. And where we all fit within that Nature.

I've been shocked by the suffering caused by philosophical and religious differences, past and present, between individuals and nations.

I find it difficult to understand why the 'Jesus Message' of Brotherly Love didn't settle some of the ancient hatreds.

 Obviously, people haven't gotten the 'Message'.

 I don't wish to get involved in religious controversy....but I do want the fighting....the hating to stop....and so I ask all my listeners to join me in praying......

OH GOD....LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME.  

So I come to share Ideas that may help. There is no expectation on my part to have everyone see the world the way I see it....but I believe that if we can expand our Ideas about both the human and Spiritual us, it will help us raise our Consciousness to a level where we are able to function more effectively, both as the human being and as the embodied Soul.

 Eventually we are all going to realize this integrated human/Soul partnership....why not do it now....for Understanding this Relationship holds the Key to Heaven on Earth. 

I have developed for myself a Philosophy of Life that has helped me activate Soul Power in my daily efforts. I am finding a ways to balance the Energy of my mind and my heart....in the process, I've made Joyousness and Peace the Priorities in my Life. And I look for those Qualities in those with whom I associate.

 So, these Ideas then, are for all who are ready to share human Power with their Soul Partners....for those who are ready to live for a Purpose Higher than just each day's human necessity.

 I believe many are ready to open to a Higher Consciousness....many are ready to trade the turmoil of daily living for the comfort and pleasure of Spiritual Peace and Joy....many are ready to believe in themselves as Loving Beings....Body and Soul. Many of us are ready for a more expansive view of human Life and its Greater Purpose.

 As I share these Ideas I encourage people to use their own Power to get their own answers....to discover for themselves what is important in their lives....to learn that what IS important is that whatever decisions we make, those decisions reflect our Soul's participation in the process.

My goal in these talks is to convince any who may not yet be convinced....and to validate those who already know ....that "WHO WE REALLY ARE" IS "A BEING OF LIGHT AND PERFECTION".

 WE ARE A 'SPARK OF GOD' EXPERIENCING THE EARTH. WE ARE A 'SPARK OF GOD 'EVOLVING AND GROWING AND LEARNING TO EXPAND OURSELVES IN THIS WORLD OF FORM AND MATTER. 

Only incidentally, do we do all of this while embodied in a physical form.  

 I believe that very little will change in the way we people deal with each other until we know this. In addition to knowing ourselves  WE HAVE TO KNOW WHO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE...

AND WHO THE 'SUPREME BEING' IS IN RELATION TO "WHO WE ALL ARE".

UNTIL WE ALL KNOW THAT....THE ARGUMENTS AND WARS ARE NOT GOING TO STOP....

the hatreds, the fighting, the killing....the lying, the cheating....it won't stop all by itself....BUT WE CAN PUT AN END TO  IT simply by knowing and living the Truth about ourselves.  

This process of self-discovery, while basically the same in content and end result  for everyone, can be very different in experiences for each of us....and for the conclusions we each  reach along the Way. And perhaps this is, at least, part of the reasons for never ending Spiritual  Controversy. Proof of this might be the thousands of books, old and new, covering every nuance of religion and Spirituality, many times from the personal perspective of the writer. And more books are coming every day....every book with a different story to tell....a different lesson to share. ....a different perspective. 

But however we go about figuring this out, some day we have to put down the sword and begin to live peacefully side by side.....or else we will succeed in destroying ourselves as well as the planet. I'm not the first to make this observation. And ours wouldn't be the first planet to be destroyed by arrogance and ignorance.

When figuring out "who we really are" becomes important to us, it's just a case of getting onto one of many different and equally valid Spiritual Pathways and into a Way of Life that is right for each one of us....the one that will encourage both the Awakening and the Freeing of our Inner Spirit.

 That's where we begin to learn that Spirituality is more than just reading about it.....more than just talking about it. This is where we begin to live each day in a  Spiritual mind-set....eventually figuring out for ourselves that WHO WE REALLY ARE is that Inner Spirit, that part of us I call 'Soul'.

We discover WHAT OUR PURPOSE REALLY IS through finding out what our natural abilities are....and we begin to create our daily lives using those special, natural talents. And at times what we accomplish will seem expanded beyond our normal human ability.....beyond our ordinary strength or courage or knowledge. These are the experiences that gradually lead us to the conclusion that some of our Ideas, some of our successes can only be explained by giving credit to the Direction and Wisdom of our now active Soul partner.  

Then we take our Knowledge, our Wisdom out into the world. We become the good and compassionate, hard working people of the planet....ready to live in new ways....ready to demonstrate an Understanding of a new Higher Consciousness. We get out of our little boxes and put into practice a style of Life that demonstrates Trust and Faith in God, and Love and Compassion for our fellow man. We do for others what works for us....and begin to let new Spiritual attitudes work to Expand Goodness on this planet.

 This is what puts an end to war and hate and fighting.....and to all the other aggressive and negative attitudes of human life.

 This is how we let Peace begin with us. 

Now, today we are seeing a Spiritual shift to the Values needed to build the Foundation for a world of Compassion and Peace. We are experiencing a period of time when we can fulfill our human/Soul Purpose and realize the Reason for this Earth Journey. Today each one of us can express our human Spirituality wisely and be the Light needed in a world of pain.

We can be a receptive mind as we seek both human and Spiritual Growth, Guidance and Blessing. Ours can be a Consciousness that is open to receive Inspiration, Vision and Direct Knowledge from the Christ Mind. When we are ready, the Christ Mind pours Its Essence, through the Soul Chalice, into our human minds. 

And that brings us back to the basic Theme of these talks....

namely Peace.

The Spiritual Process we are looking for is one that allows us to acquire Knowledge of human self, then knowledge of Soul-self and then Experience the combining, the integrating of the Soul-Mind into our daily human routine. Then we take our Knowledge and Wisdom farther out, sharing Concepts that lead the Way for Spiritual Life to grow on Earth....again, there-in lies the Peace we're all searching for.   

At this point I want to answer another question from a friend who asked how I pictured myself as Soul. I have to preface my answer with the explanation that in all my reading and searching, I had never found a description that completely fulfilled my need of a definition....and so finally, I felt as though I was up against a blank wall, as we say, and feeling confused, I asked for God-Illumination on the subject.

 Now, AS BEST I CAN DESCRIBE IT, this was the picture that filled my mind in answer to my question about basic Soulness: 

I WAS SHOWN A GREAT LIGHT COMING FROM SOME CENTRAL SOURCE ....IT WAS A BRIGHT, OPALESCENT LIGHT FILLING ALL SPACE. 

COMING FROM WITHIN THAT GLOW, I  SAW  INDIVIDUAL RAYS OF MANY DIFFERENT COLORS....

AND KNEW THOSE RAYS TO BE SPARKS OF GOD CONSCIOUSNESS FLOWING OUT TO BECOME WHAT I'VE  FELT DIRECTED TO DESCRIBE AS SOUL....OR SOULNESS.  

AS I MEDITATED ON WHAT I WAS SEEING, I KNEW MY INNER CONSCIOUS SELF TO BE ONE OF THOSE INDIVIDUATED SPARKS...

IN THAT MOMENT OF INTUITIVE "KNOWING", I KNEW WHO AND WHAT I REALLY AM ....

THAT IN REALITY I AM ONE OF MANY SPIRIT FORMS OF CONSCIOUS  UNIVERSAL LIFE....

I SAW MY SPIRIT SELF, AND OTHERS LIKE ME, TO BE VERY BEAUTIFUL BEINGS....

I UNDERSTOOD THAT A SMALL PART OF THAT SPARK IS HERE ON EARTH AT THIS TIME TO SERVE THE DESIRES OF SUPREME GODNESS,

AND DOING IT THROUGH THE EXPERIENCES OF THE HUMAN JOURNEY.  

Another questions was about young Souls and old Souls....and whether every physical body contained a  Soul and what was the process I thought God used to create individual Soulness.  

Again, I had WONDERED ABOUT AND MEDITATED ON those questions on many occasions....and one particular day while driving seventy miles an hour on a Bay Area Freeway, I found myself in that 'Bubble of Silence'.....The human me was driving the car, but at another Level of Being I was suddenly caught up into a space....a huge space....

Where I SAW A HAND HOLDING A BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL BALL OF THAT FLASHING OPALESCENT LIGHT,

WHICH AT THAT MOMENT I INTUITED TO BE THE HEART LIGHT OF GOD AND WHAT WE KNOW AS THE HOLY CHRIST ENERGY....

I SENSED, RATHER THAN SAW, SOME BEING LEAN OVER AND BREATHE INTO THAT LIGHT....

IN A FLASH THAT CRYSTAL SPHERE EXPLODED INTO COUNTLESS POINTS OF LIGHT....

EACH POINT OF LIGHT A CONSCIOUS BEING....

AND WHILE THE HAND WAS STILL EXTENDED WITH SPARKS OF DIFFERENT COLORED  LIGHT STILL POURING FROM IT,

ALL THE POINTS OF LIGHT FORMED A SPIRAL AROUND IT....IN CONSTANT MOTION,  SPIRALING AROUND THE SUPREME BEING.  

MY SENSE OF WHAT I WAS BEING SHOWN IS THAT ALL THAT WE CALL SOUL, OR SOULNESS, MAY HAVE BEEN BORN....FOR WANT OF A BETTER WAY TO SAY IT....AT THE EXACT SAME MOMENT....

ANY SENSE WE HAVE OF BEING YOUNGER OR OLDER MAY COME OUT OF INDIVIDUAL SOUL EXPERIENCE.

I SAW THAT EVERY PHYSICAL BODY HAS A SOUL SPARK  CONNECTED TO IT....

THOUGH IN SOME CASES, THE LIGHT OF THAT SOUL HAS GROWN DIM....

THE LIGHT OF SOME SPARKS HAS ALMOST GONE OUT....

WHILE IN OTHERS, IT IS A GREAT BLAZING LIGHT....

AS IN THE CASE OF THE GREAT ONES WHO COME TO EARTH TO TEACH OR SERVE GOD IN SOME SPECIAL WAY.

MYSTICS HAVE DESCRIBED THE LIGHT THAT SURROUNDED JESUS AS EXPANDING FOR MILES AROUND HIM.... 

EACH OF US HAS EXPANDED OUR SOUL FLAME  IN VARYING DEGREES DEPENDING ON OUR OWN SOUL INITIATIVE AND HOW WE HAVE SERVED 'GOD' HERE OR ELSEWHERE.

OUR SOUL LIGHT GROWS BIGGER AND BRIGHTER ONLY AS WE SERVE THE GREATER GOOD....WHICH WE DO THROUGH EVERY SMALL KINDNESS....OR EVERY GREAT DEED....

IN TIME, WE GET TO DO IT ALL....if we choose to.

Now....since no two of us are exactly alike....no two intuitive experiences will be identical....I AM HERE to share Ideas based on my experiences, ones that I think will expand Consciousness.... always asking my listener to 'go within' and ask for personal verification of my Information. Mystical Experiences are usually, perhaps always, experiences meant for the Soul to whom they are given....again, possibly because of our individual needs or ability of the moment to interpret them correctly.   

At any rate, as we learn about and begin to Master some of the Soul level Knowledge, daily life becomes so much simpler. And from then on the challenge is to reach ever Higher....reaching for Knowledge and then for the Experiences that will allow us to use that Knowledge.

 And we are becoming wiser and more compassionate.

It is Compassion that leads us to Peace....and the Wisdom we attain can be passed along to family and friends....it's the old story of the pebble tossed into the pond and the ripples that spread out....And someone has to toss those pebbles. 

Each of us can 'open the door' of the human mind and let in the 'Christ Light of the Mind of our Soul'....for it is through the Soul Connection that the Christ Energy enters our lives. I often think of how the Lord Jesus labored to bring the Knowledge of that Christ Energy to us. ...and how those of us who benefit from His Teaching have a responsibility to put that Knowledge to work.

 To do that we reach inward for the connection to our Christed Soul Mind....which can be seen as a 'Flame anchored in our hearts'....that Flame coming straight from the Heart of God.

Having made the Soul connection we instantly have greater Awareness. We are beginning to look at Life through the  Eyes of our Soul. And Joy seems to be the Keynote of the Soul....at least, it has been for me.

 Yes. Joy seems to be the attitude of the Soul....and that Joy comes as Love....and a Kindness felt towards all Life....with a sense of Peace....with the Desire to both give and receive more of that 'Joy'. 

'Soul Connection' has to be a unique moment in one's life. We read of it in the words left to us by those we call Saints, as well as by many others, who describe a moment in their lives when they experienced Pure Joy....I think this must be what the "born again Christian" is describing".

Then there are the moments when we feel our Souls expand the powerful 'Ray of Christ Light' within us.

When we go through these experiences, regardless of religious affiliation, we are never the same....from then on we have an heightened appreciation of ourselves, and others. And 'God'.

This moment has been described as a State of Gratitude and Compassion....a feeling that we are directly connected to our 'Christ Self' for that moment.

I can testify to its being a 'State of Complete and Sweet Surrender'....I have never found a better way to describe the feeling. 

As we develop a Life Style that nurtures both the human and Soul us, both levels of us flower, as it were....and situations which we might consider difficult today, we will soon handle with ease. The Soul Energy gives the human-us the tools, the Information, the Inspiration, the Strength that Lightens every step of our way. I don't know any other way to say it, as it begins to seem as though everything is provided as each new experience unfolds.

Each day brings moments of new Awareness....and a Consciousness that Higher Levels of Information are 'right there' as we need that Information. We begin to put to use that Higher Knowledge....and thus the begetting of Wisdom as we explore and expand our ability to listen to our Soul's Guidance.  

As we accept responsibility for using God's Love and Light harmoniously, we learn we can tap into whatever Soul Information we need. ...in time, becoming Channels through whom that Love and Peace and the badly needed 'Planetary Healing' can flow....that is the Pathway of those who are attracted to these words.

Each one is to throw that Pebble of Higher Realization into the Consciousness Waters of the race, and soon we'll see more and more people responding to new levels of Love and Peace.....until in time, these Ideas become the normal Consciousness of the planet" as all begin to out picture these new and higher Ideals.

 That is the Pathway to Peace on Earth....and it will have begun with each one of us. And none of this is 'rocket science metaphysics'....it is simple humanity....basic Soulness....and each one of us can do it. 

When I came to these realizations, I was greatly consoled knowing that there was a way to put an end to the wars that seem to have no ends.

 That there were ways to bring people together....

That there were ways we could live in a state of Love and Peace and Joy....

And I promise you that it will happen, and will happen quickly as more and more of us contribute our good thoughts and deeds to the general State of Human Consciousness and Activity. 

There is much we can accomplish as individuals.....but more can be done by groups of people, sharing Spiritual Ideas that bond us at both the human and Soul level. I often think of the statement of Jesus regarding two or more gathered in His Name/God's Name....which I believe points to an exponential increase in Energy that happens beyond what one person can accomplished alone. We have no Idea how powerful a group of dedicated people can be as they shine their Light on Ideas of Love and Peace.

Working together as a group magnifies the ability of each one, at least, ten fold....and that much more quickly, makes these Ideas available to others who are ready to live in the Light. That doesn't mean we all have to be in the same room at the same time, but that we are sharing a Sense of Community as we study and apply these Concepts. 

In an earlier talk I commented on the new century and what we might experience. And I said at that time that my take on the millennium situation was that for those of us who wanted it and who would make ourselves ready for it, a shining, new Lighted Consciousness awaited us.

 I sincerely believe that.

 To be ready we need to develop human/Soul Qualities such as the Peace we cry out for....we need a clarity of Purpose and the ability to demonstrate as much Love and Joy in our daily routines as possible. Through our individual efforts we will bring Peace to this planet by bringing it into our own lives.

 I've said that these are times when if we choose to do it, we can make use of the amazing Cosmic Energies of these times and use It to propel ourselves into that Christed Consciousness that waits for us to "put it on".
We are being challenged by the times

....surely everyone feels this in some way.

 Perhaps, not Spiritually yet....but everything is changing in our worlds.... politically, economically, technically.....racially, legally, demographically there is so much change that 'change itself' is becoming the norm....and it won't be unusual to learn new ways to live....to connect with each other.

 Certainly it's important to learn to live in more loving ways....more joyful ways....in ways that bring Inner Peace....ways that allow us to connect with each other from the heart....the only way to let there be Peace on Earth. 

I believe that we are in  a time of great Spiritual Growth and Evolution, perhaps throughout the whole Universe.  And because of the need of the hour, help is being given to those who invoke it.

 We can be shown the Purpose of our lives. Many Souls have gotten sidetracked from their original Blueprint....many are caught in the dense energies of the earth....many are feeling grief and guilt and are very confused as they sense something wonderful about themselves....but are caught up in what the world calls sinfulness.

Taking our minds off our humanness and putting it on thoughts of Dignity and Love, will lead us back to Spiritual Ways that make Life worth living....Life is 'worth living' but needs to be lived in Joy....and Joy is as close as our thoughts of Love and Compassion for ourselves and for our fellow men and women.

Joy begins by absorbing the Power, the Energy of our Souls....that is the 'Power of God' sent to Earth....and that 'Power' contains all the Joy we can ever use....and it is there right within us....and not to use it....now that might be a sin....certainly, not to use the Love and Power of God plunges the human being into all the terrible situations we see going on all around us. 

There is great Love, Compassion and Guidance available to us.

 None of us are ever left alone....even when we are not letting our Souls into our lives....still there are Beings of Light, including our Souls, watching and waiting, ready  to teach us when we are ready to activate 'Godness' in our lives. However, we must invite the help of Beings of Light. Remember, our free will? They can do nothing for us if we don't want their help....if we do not invite Them in.

 Jesus made that very clear to us.....'Knock and it will be opened unto you'....'seek and you will find'....'ask and it will be given to you'.

 I use His Statement, 'I AM (GOD IS) THE OPEN DOOR THAT NO MAN CAN SHUT' as a Powerful Way to attract His Energy into my Life. I see Him standing in a wide open arched doorway, inviting me in....I enter into that Place of His Consciousness....and each time absorb as much as I can of what is there.

I know that in time, each one of us will become Open Doors to the Knowledge and Wisdom required to Master Life through the experiences on Earth.

There's no doubt in my mind that as we move along our Pathway, we will become as a Shining Light to others we meet along the way....even as some will be as Shining Lights to us....

And, here are a few THOUGHTS AND IDEAS to remember:

TO BELIEVE in Infinite 'Godness and Goodness'

To BELIEVE in the 'Christ Energy of the Soul Partner'

             that EMPOWERS our human lives                     

To, BELIEVE in and practice, minute by minute, the 'Principles of Love' as given to us by Jesus and Other Great Ones.

For these PRINCIPLES contain the POWER that will draw us together and unite us in LOVE and in the bonds of Brotherhood that will, in time, embrace the entire world.

Remember, to PERSEVERE in all efforts to make Peace a 'Reality' wherever we abide.

And hold to our CONFIDENCE in all these Spiritual matters, for that CONFIDENCE will insure for us the 'Help of Heaven'.

And with that HELP, each one will be taken up Higher in 'thought and deed' as we accelerate our personal evolution.

We, who are on a Path of Higher Consciousness are AWAKENING to many new ABILITIES greatly needed by the people of this planet.

WE MUST REMEMBER TO SEAL OURSELVES IN LIGHT and teach others to do the same. We do not need to be affected by the world's negativity

We can LEARN TO HEAL ourselves and help others to HEAL all their' wounds of hate'

We can HELP OTHERS ATTAIN a Spiritual View of Life, while transforming our personal relationships, just by the Way we live our lives.

We are DISCOVERING how to tap into the 'Energies of our Soul' and to all the 'Godness' of which the Soul is a part.

We can LET GO of fear and STAY CENTERED within

If we can REMEMBER to do these things, we can and we will REACH our GOALS.
